Concrete Cutting and Pour Back

We Cut It. We Pour It Back.

When plumbing, electrical, utilities, or other work requires access beneath an existing concrete slab, Ohio Concrete can handle the concrete work on both sides of the project.

We cut and remove the concrete needed to access the area. Once the work underneath is completed by your plumber or electrician and the opening is ready to be closed, we can return to pour it back

Concrete Trench Cutting & Pour Back

Installing or relocating plumbing, electrical conduit, drains, utilities, or other systems often means opening an existing concrete floor.

Our crews make controlled saw cuts to create the trench or opening needed for the work below. After the concrete is removed, your plumber, electrician, mechanical contractor, or other trade can complete their portion of the project.

When their work is finished, Ohio Concrete can return to restore the area we opened.

Why Keep the Cutting & Pour Back With One Contractor?

Opening the slab is only one part of the project. Once the work underneath is finished, the concrete still needs to be restored.

Having Ohio Concrete handle both the original cutting and the pour back means you don't have to find another concrete contractor to close the area our crew opened.

It also gives your plumber, electrician, mechanical contractor, or other trade a clear sequence to work around:

Ohio Concrete cuts → Your contractor completes the installation → Ohio Concrete pours back

Concrete Trench Infill After Plumbing or Electrical Work

For projects that require trenches through an existing concrete slab, Ohio Concrete can cut the trench and provide the concrete pour back after the underground work is finished.

This is commonly needed when adding or relocating plumbing, drains, electrical conduit, utilities, or mechanical systems in existing commercial and industrial buildings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer concrete pour back as a standalone service?

No. Our pour-back service is only available for concrete that Ohio Concrete Sawing & Drilling cuts and removes. We do not provide standalone concrete pouring for areas opened by another cutting contractor. When you request it to be quoted, it is understood and discounted to be included with the cutting portion of the project.

Will you pour back all the concrete you cut?

Pour back can be included as part of the project when discussed and scheduled with our team. We can cut and remove the concrete, then return after the plumbing, electrical, utility, or other work beneath the slab is complete. This is primarily slab on grade concrete installation.

Do you pour concrete that another contractor cut?

No. We only provide pour-back services for concrete that our crews cut and remove.

What types of projects typically need concrete cutting and pour back?

Common projects include plumbing and drain lines, electrical conduit, underground utilities, equipment installation, floor drains, industrial piping, and building renovations.

Can you cut a trench for a plumber or electrician and return after their work is finished?

Yes. We can cut and remove the required concrete so the trade can complete its work below the slab. Once that work is finished and the area is ready, we can return for the concrete pour back.

Who coordinates when the concrete is ready to be poured back?

The contractor, facility manager, or project contact lets our team know when the work beneath the slab is complete and the area is ready for the next phase.

Do you remove the concrete after cutting it?

Concrete removal can be included depending on the scope of the project. Our team can review the cutting, removal, and pour-back requirements when the project is scheduled.

Can you handle large commercial and industrial concrete trenches?

Yes. We work on commercial, industrial, and construction projects that require access through existing concrete slabs for utilities, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and other installations.

Do you do trench excavation once the concrete is removed?

Yes, we have electric mini excavators that can complete the removal. See excavator page

Do you complete the infill and tamping?

It is our preference to have the subcontractor whose work is installed in the trench complete the process of putting the bedding material in the trench and complete the tamping or compaction process. The reason is so that their work is properly supported, sloped and not damaged during the process.
