Ohio Concrete Sawing and Drilling (OCSD) has provided concrete cutting and drilling services across Ohio and the Midwest since 1981. Founded by Skip Aston, OCSD grew quickly through his vision and discipline, adding four branches in less than ten years. Today, OCSD serves Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
What started as a family business built on loyalty and hard work is now employee-owned. Through our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), the people who do the work own a stake in the company. Some of them represent a third generation of employees who literally "grew up" in the business, and now they have an ownership stake in where it goes next. For our customers, that means crews who are personally invested in every job.
OCSD is a full-service contractor offering virtually every concrete service. Our demolition services include cutting, drilling, sawing, coring, breaking, grinding, removal, and disposal of any constructed surface. Our rehabilitation and treatment services include polishing, shaving, grinding, scarifying, sealing, burnishing, toppings, surface prep, and full replacement.
When it comes to solving concrete problems, our management and sales teams bring more than 200 years of combined experience, and most were promoted from within our office and field ranks. As employee-owners, they have a direct stake in getting your project right. We complete 4,000 jobs and 9,500 work orders a year with a fleet of more than 50 trucks.
Completing that many jobs takes a well-organized, cohesive team. We use the latest software and technology to execute every project with precision and keep accurate records. Mobile dispatching and electronic data capture let us receive a request, complete the job, record the work, and send an invoice within 48 hours. AI tools have also made our dispatching more efficient and streamlined our sales process.
Our Process
Safety is a top priority for every project. Every technician completes a pre-job hazard assessment along with a silica risk assessment of their assigned task. Our technicians are empowered and trained to evaluate the safety needs and risk level of every project. Our monthly safety trainings and 10 Hour OSHA safety trainings equip our techs and managers with the dangers of our work specifically. All safety trainings and manuals are available electronically to our field teams at all times. We are proud of our safety record, and our first priority is to make sure we do not put your safety, our safety, or the safety of your teams at risk.

OCSD custom builds each work truck to complete a wide range of tasks with efficiency. We have recently made large investments in lighter, safer high-cycle cutting equipment that will increase our output and streamline our workflow.
